Today Red Bull Music Academy will be launching an assault on the London skyline with its Revolutions in Sound event, which claims to be the world’s first airborne music festival.

The London the event will see artists and collectives show case their sounds in each of the London Eye’s 30 pods. Over the course of the three hour event, the wheel will rotate six times, taking its riders to a height of 135 metres over the London skyline, whilst being entertained by a versatile mix of both accomplished, and emerging talent.

DJs involved include Numbers’ Jackmaster and Deadboy, Pearson Sound, Ben UFO and Pangaea of Hessle Audio, and Night Slugs founders Bok Bok and L-Vis 1990. To balance a heavy-hitting DJ lineup, there will be performances from Beardyman, Soweto Kinch, Andreya Triana and Tanya Auclair.

Coverage will begin at 7pm, and individual streams from each of the 30 pods will be available via Red Bull Radio.
