Nike are one of the most creative, forward-thinking brands around today, constantly innovating and evolving their product and image. Nike's vision is that our products will be ‘closed loop’- that is, they will use the fewest possible materials and be assembled in ways that allow them to be readily recycled into new products. That’s where Nike’s ‘Reuse-A-Shoe’ comes in: taking worn out athletic shoes and grinding them down to create a new material called Nike Grind, which is in turn used to make high-quality sports surfaces including courts, turf fields, tracks and more. Since 1990, Nike have transformed 28 million pairs of shoes and 36,000 tons of scrap material into Nike Grind for use in more than 450,000 locations around the world. To promote this initiative, the team at Man vs Machine have been at it again, turning their prodigious talents to a top-notch animation that helps to position Nike right at the forefront of creativity and sustainability.
