Creative agency Six:Thirty have decided to rethink the relationship we have with technology in their new exhibition Unread Messages.

For many of us, our anxieties have become heightened by digital communications thanks to an increasing reliance on technology. For all of its benefits, our relationship with social media has at once liberated and harmed us.

Unread Messages by London Creative agency Six:Thirty is a project that seeks to raise awareness of our interactions with technology, and provide innovative, empowering responses. The exhibition, to be held at The Aram Gallery, London, will run from March 11 to April 9.

An open online community of over 125 participants undertook the bulk of the qualitative research. Discussion topics included social media, email and messaging, the "always on" lifestyle, notification overload, data deluge and device addiction.

From this discussion three core themes emerged, Empowered but Dependant, The Curated Self and Compulsive Behaviours. Based around these themes, Six:Thirty worked with a group of multi disciplinary designers to provide some tangible responses to the question, 'how can we improve our mental wellbeing by changing our relationship with technology?'

The exhibition will feature original digital, physical and interactive products. Participating designers include Matteo Loglio, Matan Stauber, Paul MacGregor, Takram and Dean Brown.
