Factory farms have been under a lot of scrutiny following recent scandals. Noted by many animal rights groups, it has been marked as one of the largest sources of animal cruelty. CIWF, an agricultural animal welfare charity against such methods, have invented an ingenious way to pull the attention of the public towards the idea of free range farming.

By linking a big screen at London’s Westfield to a webcam device at a farm in Buckinghamshire, The Really Live Feed gives passersby the opportunity to help out in feeding a drove of hungry pigs. With a small donation through their app – similar to popular smartphone games available – users can literally throw an apple into the field (via a large catapult) and see the result.

Bearing similarities to the Tweet and Shoot system, (only this time with pigs instead of tennis players), The Really Live Feed combines the use of smartphone technology and is an example of raising an issue subtly and in an interactive way - pushing for a more eco friendly and cruelty-free world.
