La Gaite Lyrique in Paris has transformed itself over the past few years from its origins as a traditional theatre, built back in 1759, into today where it’s re-establishing itself as the home for a wide range of disciplines across contemporary culture. Running from 18th June through to 7th August, the gallery goes street in a series of skate events. France is home to a huge community of skaters and the program is all about celebrating the individuals and the spirit that contributes towards their thriving culture. A jam packed schedule is lined up of skating events, films, parties, exhibits and gigs from the likes of Dinosaur Jr, Tommy Guerrero, Mix Master Mike, Ray Barbee, McRad, Lords of The Underground, Boys Noize, Antipop Consortium, Busy P, Bad Shit and The Goat.   As well as celebrating their colourful boarding community, the event will also address the future of the sport in etnies founder, Pierre Senizergues, specially curated exhibit. Check out the promo video above. Be sure to check out the rest of La Gaite Lyrique’s summer schedule here. The gallery is showcasing some amazing new talent across a real variation of platforms such as Matt Pyke - the digital artist whose previous exhibit you can read about here. If you’re in Paris, we think it’s well worth a look.
