We're proud to present the next film in a series of Protein commissions for C4 Random Acts. Premiering on Channel 4, October 22nd 2013, SCRIPTURA VITAE marks the directorial debut of New York-based artist and filmmaker Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic.

A celebrated designer, calligrapher and creative director of NYC / London based record label Earnest Endeavours, Mestrovic's collaborations range from work with Kanye West to the legendary Parisian fashion house KENZO.

His first foray into film, SCRIPTURA VITAE is a hypnotic visual story exploring the dualities of life & death, art & artist, the film stars Japanese actress Miho Nikaido best known for her role in the once banned cult classic, Tokyo Decadence (1992). Showcasing original music by the Grammy nominated Diplo, with supporting tracks by London’s acclaimed avant-garde producer Actress and emerging electronic duo Plaitum, the film's driving score was completed by lauded sound designers LISTEN. The Cannes Grand Lion award winning agency Fake Love interpreted Mestrovic’s artwork and breathed life into the flowing, calligraphic visuals of the film. As Co-director Shane Annas lends his signature editing style giving rise to SCRIPTURA VITAE.
