Protein is back with another round of Random Acts, the late night disruptive arts strand taking over slots of TV every weeknight on Channel 4. We present five exciting artists from the world of music, art, food and design, each creating an original 3 minute film: Alice Waese, Aerosyn-Lex, Earnest Endeavours, James Casey, and Stefanie Posavec.

The first of the five pieces - ʻA Million Atoms of Soft Redʼ by Alice Waese - launches tonight on Channel 4.The artist, trained in both garment design and fine art has created a haunting watercolour piece for Random Acts. Exploring the evolution of paint, and the movement of pigments in the process of making a painting, 'A Million Atoms of Soft Red' looks at how the paint changes and evolves before becoming a static object. The film is offset by a stirring song by Caleb Seppala.

Keep an eye on Random Acts site for the video going up soon.
