Protein TV: The Dancers
The final film in Mollie Mills' sports trilogy travels to the subways of New York

Protein Spotlight: NY Subway dancers from Protein® TV on Vimeo.
The final film in Mollie Mills' trilogy exploring modern young athletes travels all the way to New York to meet a crew of subway dancers known as W.A.F.F.L.E. With ages ranging between 7 and 20 years old, the crew's impromptu, illegal dances along the L train that runs between Brooklyn and Manhattan are often the only sources of income for many members and their families. Taking an active decision to avoid a gang life that is all too prevalent in their neighbourhoods, the crew view dance as a means of not just self expression, but an escape from the daily struggles.
