Join us at SXSW for the US launch of the Protein Journal Gender Issue with a forum exploring the shifting landscape of gender roles in the tech industry
Women make up more than half of the market in many consumer tech categories, and they make up half of the gaming community. Simultaneously tech companies are realising there is a talent gap — that they need to recruit more women.

But what challenges do these women face? Is the tech industry sexist? How hard is it for women to launch their own tech start ups? What barriers must they overcome that don’t apply to their male counterparts? Should tech start ups be more mindful of their female consumers?
Join us for the US launch of the Protein Journal's Gender Issue with a Forum exploring the shifting landscape of gender roles in the tech industry. Meet the women challenging our assumptions amidst the inspiring surroundings of SXSW Interactive.

Speakers include; Elizabeth Gore, Entrepreneur in Residence at technology giant Dell; Leslie Bradshaw, co-founder of product development group MadebyMany; Lucie Greene, worldwide director of Intelligence at advertising agency JWT, Emma Sutton, marketing director at lifestyle bible Dazed Group, and Tamsin Glasson, executive producer and managing director of virtual reality production company Vrse.works.
All guests will receive a copy of the latest Protein Journal, complete with The Gender Report. Click on our Eventbrite page to book now.

'Protein Presents: Women in Tech at SXSW' at Soho House, Austin, on March 16, from 4-6pm.
