Measuring Influence
Is 11am too early for champagne? We don't think so, especially when v12 of Protein OS went live this morning.
As part of a switch to a members-only insight service that'll keep you up-to-date with emerging markets and consumer behaviour, you'll find a host of new features and editorial sections rolling out in the coming months, starting with our Profiles and Briefings. We hope you like what you see, but always keen to hear your feedback, comments and bugs.
For non-members, you’ll still get your daily updates on what’s new in art, design, food, tech, fashion, music and culture in the Feed and weekly Supplement, but if you sign up to the full OS service, you’ll also get access to in-depth editorial research, members-only events and a suite of integrated insight tools.
To mark the launch, we hosted an intimate launch party last night at Protein HQ, where founder members joined Protein staff for a soirée of food, drinks and debate. Guests were welcomed to an overview of the new service by Protein founder Will Rowe followed by a Forum on ‘The Art of Measuring Influence’ with creative technologist David Bausola, social anthropologist Mark Earls and PeerIndex’s Simon Cast discussing the pros and cons of quantifying influence across the web.
Everyone attending also received their own welcome pack which contained a personalised "black on black" RFID members card that allowed you to check-in and compare your Protein Index with other members. Before you ask, Katie Mackay won, with Richard Moross and Mark Earls following closely behind ... but it's not a competition kids.
Don’t worry if you missed it, because we’ll have an audio download featuring highlights from the debate in our Forum section soon. We’ll also be looking at the subject of influence in greater detail, with a full insight report, coming last August. If you’d like to find out more about becoming a member of the new Protein OS service, you can read all about it here.
