To celebrate the opening of the new Library of Birmingham, Morag Myerscough has created a neon pop-up pavillion as part of an 18 week creative residency. The installation forms the first section of a 'Discovery Trail,' a series of art installations intended to guide visitors around the new structure, curated by Capsule.

Located in the foyer of the £189 million structure, the distinctive neon pavillion will host a weekly exhibitions from a myriad of artists such as Brian Homer, Yvette Hawkins and collective Girls Who Draw. Vibrant and bold, this hand painted pavillion is intended to reflect the ethos behind the new Library, creating a exuberant atmosphere of learning and exploration.

The Library includes an outdoor amphitheater, recording studio, gallery space and over 800,000 literary works. Much like the Livre Exchange, this pop-up pavillion brings a sense of fun and discovery to the brand new cultural space.
