Created by Norwegian designers Skrekkøgle, Plugg is a DAB radio that turns on and off by securing and removing a cork covering the speaker.

Using hacking electronics, 3d printing and laser cutting the duo produced the prototype which allows the listener to switch the device on by uncorking the radio – similar to uncorking a bottle.

The simple device aims to explore some of the loss of tangibility in our electronic equipment by focussing on the basics, and the physical interaction required in using it.
