In an effort to whetten your appetite, Pizza Hut have teamed up with innovative US based interactive designers Chaotic Moon Studios to launch a new digital, touchscreen menu.
Led entirely by images, the picture based menu allows you to customise your pizza order all from the comfort of your seat. Pick your crust, select your sauce and then add your toppings, the process is designed to be as slick and engaging as possible. Introducing an element of gamification to the ordering process there is also the option to play games on the interactive touchscreen while you wait for your order to arrive. With both solo or multiplayer functions, the new menu brings the whole experience into the digital realm of user interface interactions.
It is interesting to see companies such as Pizza Hut, and Ikea introduce new technologies into their service. The adoption of interactive screens or augmented reality successfully mixes up and enriches an occasionally stagnant consumer experience.
