The Pixelstick, designed by New York based Bitbangerlab, is a 6 foot long bar covered with a strip of 198 full colour RGB LEDs that takes the artform of light painted photographs to the next level, creating groundbreaking photorealistic images and trippy animations.

To the naked eye it might seem like a blur of flashing colours, but when the Pixelstick is held up in front of a camera set for long exposure, those the 198 pixels, formed by each LED, create images that, using time lapse photography, can even create 8-bit animated GIF’s.

Launched October 29th, the $300 Pixelstick  has already almost tripled it’s $110,000 crowdfunding goal.
