Not satisfied with simply finding you a roof whilst on your travels, Airbnb is advancing its digital empire into the realm of print media through the launch of Pineapple magazine; a community focussed quarterly documenting the people and local flavours you can encounter while on the road.

Representing a unique crossroad of travel, anthropology, belonging and shared space, the magazine will adopt a similar stance to the one recently featured in digital travel journal, This Place; in that it will rely on insider insight and local knowledge to provide a comprehensive guide that spans food, art, culture, fashion, and more.

The 128-page winter 2014 issue, which contains no advertising, will include features on three key cities popular among Airbnb users: San Francisco, London, and Seoul. Solidifying the company’s ethos of a ‘Global Community’, the magazine will serve as a useful means for readers to discover how people live and create new connections in cities today.
