Today Personal Genomes is hosting the second annual GET Conference (Genomes, Environment, Traits) held in Philadelphia. The theme is next generation DNA - sequencing technologies and their applications in scientific research, health and medicine. The GET conference coincides with the just-gone National DNA Day, and works to bring together leading thinkers in the field to discuss the ways new genomic technologies affect our lives.

Speakers at this years symposium include the likes of David Goldstein of Duke University, Rade Drmanac of Complete Genomics Inc, Dana Pe’er of Columbia University and George Church of Harvard University - with topics ranging from rare and common variants in human disease to personalized and participatory genomic medicine, you’re going to walk away smarter.
