Swedish rapper Adam Tensta has just launched a new song called 'Pass ItOn'. But what makes this release different is that he's only released one copy of the song. Just one single copy.

Only one person will have access to the song and will be able to listen to it at any one time. Once they've heard it, the song then gets passed on to another person. It all works through a Facebook app created especially for the artist. To use it, you just go to the Adam Tensta Facebook page, click on the app to install it, and then wait in line until it's your turn. The idea, according to Tensta, is to bring back a sense of exclusivity when listening to music online, especially in a time of Soundcloud, Spotify and other cloud music services.

The campaign does, however, seem fraught with problems. For instance, there's no indication of when you'll get to hear the song. Plus if your friend has had a chance to listen to it, and then wants to discuss it with you, it could be a month or longer before you get to hear it. And by that time, your friend might not even remember what it sounded like. But despite all this, the idea is an interesting use of a Facebook app to create a piece of content that's exclusive to just one person at one time.
