Autumn is the perfect time for blustery weekend adventures, and there's no better way to explore the UK than on bike. Luckily for us, a new site called Pannier has recently launched, designed just for the travelling cyclist. Presenting a visual and location specific collection of cycle-friendly places to stay along major cycle routes, the site aims to connect the growing number of cyclists with local businesses.
Pannier offers an easy to use mapping-based interface highlighting route specific places to stay, as well as recommended trails and adventures. It's hard not to feel inspired when the site is full of beautiful photography from far flung corners of Britain. As they succinctly put it, 't's not about the bike you ride, it is about the journeys you make on one.'
It's a great site which aims to increase the number of people on bikes and to get them to discover new and exciting parts of the UK. Like many of the travel sites we've featured lately (Gallivant, Roadtrippers, Field Trip), this is another wonderful example of a digital platform encouraging exploration and discovery. Check it out for yourself here.
