For a good ten years SXSW has been the annual point of call for music lovers to discover what sounds will shape the sonic landscape for the year ahead. So it seems the perfect venue for Oreo to team up with Maya Design to allow attendees the experience of tasting a trend as it is happening.

Unlike a traditional vending machine the 'Trending Vending Machine' prints 3-D cookies relying on social media to decide on the flavours and colour combinations available. "We're connecting trending moments to the cookie itself in real time and real life" explains Brian Bough VP of global media at Mondelez.

Previously, and somewhat similarly, Budweiser had used social media to celebrate the value of the designated driver reacting to the circumstances of the holiday season with their Knitbot.
