One Memento is an interesting photography experiment that asks users to download a 'one free shot' digital camera from the App Store. Users are given a 2-hour window to take (and re-take if necessary) one photograph that they can submit to the project. After they have decided on one shot, all the photographs are kept on an online gallery that is available for others to view and comment on forever. There are 250,000 opportunities to capture this one memento to share with the world.

Created by Rehab Studio, it's an interesting project employing a concept reminiscent of old analogue film cameras that only have a certain amount of exposures, making the photographer slow down and consider the shot they are taking. Working in a similar way to the recently featured Instant Lab project, this considered app gives the end product more value then an everyday digital snap.

We like this new genre of apps considering traditional techniques, helping maintain analogue values in the ever-shifting world of digital photography. Download the app here.
