For this year’s Nuits Sonores, a French electronic music and art festival, is this good? joined LFA architects in a collaborative effort to design a pyramid installation that reacts to visitors’ presence.

The teams used six Kinect cameras to track people’s motion, and openFrameworks for visual effects. Visitors’ movements across the pyramid prompted lighting in the LEDs structure and graphic projections on the screens inside the warehouse. As the outside space filled with people the inside visuals became generative, creating a randomly awesome light show.
