The experience of listening to music is constantly evolving. In December, we wrote about REWORK, which enabled users to add corresponding visual elements to the Beck/Philip Glass collaborative remix. Although the concept of mobile remixing apps is not new, Ninja Jamm is one of the more complex apps to hit the market.

Ninja Jamm is a four-channel mixing app for iPhone developed by electronic music label Ninja Tune and art and technology collective seeper. Users or 'jammers' may purchase 'Tunepacks,' which contain forty elements of an original song from the Ninja catalogue. Using an impressive array of sonic options, users may touch, tilt, swipe, and shake to remix tracks from Ninja Tune’s catalogue, which includes artists Amon Tobin, FaltyDL, and Bonobo among others.

Hands on, immediate, and interactive, Ninja Jamm enables users to design their own music experience. Once a track is mixed, users are then able to upload their stylings to Soundcloud where it can further be shared on Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr and other social media networks.
