Nike PHOTOiD
Nike's trainer customisation system, Nike iD, takes a step forward, allowing users to use their Instagram photos as inspiration for their colourway designs.
If you like customising your trainers and Instagram, you will love Nike’s new service. PHOTOiD acts as an extension of its existing online trainer customising platform, Nike iD, which can be a bit overwhelming. With the new PHOTOiD HTML5 web app, Nike combine artful atmospheric smartphone shots with its familiar custom ordering system.
Users can log into their Instagram library through the app and get some colour inspirations for their new kicks. Once a shot is selected, Nike matches the shades from it, and applies them directly to a pair of Air Max 1, 90 or 95s. New shoes take a month to deliver. While waiting, users can share their custom designs through the social media networks.
