The new 1948 store aims to celebrate the city and brings together themes of London's sport, culture, art, fashion and music. The interior design features large scale wall visuals produced by artist Best Ever.

The soundtrack came courtesy of DJs SBTRKT, Jamie XX and Hot Chip, who played eclectic sets showing the depth of musical influence that runs through London. There was also a screening of a specially commissioned film by Tyrone LeBon, shown across four split screens.

The 1948 redesign looks fantastic, introducing a completely new architecture, with iPads in every corner and a new mezzanine that features an impressive book collection.

The store is open 11.30am - 6.30pm Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday, 11.30am - 7pm Thursday. Saturday 11.30am - 5.30pm and Sunday 12am - 6pm. So make sure you get down to see the newly revamped store in action.
