To celebrate the release of its New York Cosmos Blackout collection, Umbro has teamed up with the Reed Space Annex store to create a pop-up shop in New York.

The shop, designed by Kevin Lyons, takes inspiration from New York’s 24 hour blackout in 1977, which caused large spread rioting and looting.

The project takes its name from the New York football club The Cosmos and their rise to dominate the NASL with the arrival of Brazilian Carlos Alberto.

We've seen many pop-ups this summer, such as Studio Toogood’s The Truvia Voyage of Discovery at Selfridges, indicating that the temporary retail trend is long from being over. The New York Cosmos Blackout store is open until the 27th of July.
