Amassing local business' social media feeds on one search and discovery app
Since the advent of Foursquare, arguably the original local search and discovery app, there have been many nuanced attempts to further personalise and improve the service. FAVD offers recommendations from people you trust, Farfetch Discover does more or less the same while Findery allows you to attach personal notes to geolocations.

Neighbrhds is the latest series of apps to offer recommendations for shopping, restaurants, transportation, hotels and more. This time however, the apps brand themselves as hand-picked community social feeds, keeping you in touch with local information by posting Facebook, Twitter and Instagram updates from local businesses and organisations.

Each of its individual apps, (neighbourhoods within San Francisco, L.A, Las Vegas, with more in the pipeline), focus on providing users with local information tailored specifically to their neighbourhood. They make it quick and easy for residents and visitors to instantly access information about community events, local businesses and more.

What’s attractive about the app is how it's proactive in reaching out to users rather than waiting for users to search for suggestions via the app. That it also acts as an advertising platform for brands means it could potentially be a more lucrative rehash of its predecessors.
