Austrian company Nectar and Pulse has launched a new type of city guide that aims to create a personalised experience for travelers. Breaking away from the more ‘generic’ travel guide, the company offers tailored recommendations and insider tips from locals who mainly work in the music, design and fashion industries.   Customers can visit the site and read the profiles of the various ‘soulmates’, (interviews that include information on their music/ film/ book preferences, personality traits, lifestyles and general views of the world) and then choose the one(s) who have similar interests and outlooks to them.   Current guides available are London, Vienna and Stockholm although the company intends to release more in the future. Nectar and Pulse has recognised that people increasingly listen to and trust their peers who are much more likely to share similar views and tastes.
