Following the success of Shoreditch's pop-up BOXPARK shopping centre that opened in 2011, the team behind it plan to open a second in Amsterdam's NDSM shipyard.

For those unfamiliar, the concept is pretty simple. Taking a bunch of corrugated iron shipping containers, BOXPARK transform an urban space into a retail wonderland. A pop-up mall packed with brands as well as places to eat, drink and hang out. Expanding on the London model, the new Boxpark will also serve as a function space, to be used for music events, sports or films
