How often do you find yourself flicking through your iPod, only to realize that you cant quite decide what’s going to hit you with just the right level of sonic satisfaction to match your mood? What if you didn't need to hand pick songs at all, and just let your brain choose for you? That's the idea behind the latest gadget from Neurowear: a new type of headphones that allow you to not only keep your hands free, but also leave all the hard decision-making to your subconscious.

Tinkering around the same premise that drives Google’s ‘Talking Shoe’, also unveiled at SXSW this week, the device detects brainwaves through the sensor on your forehead, and selects from a database of 100 songs a track that will complement how the wearer is feeling. If you are feeling sad, it will play some blues, and if you are feeling hyper, it will play some dance music.

Once again, the always-creative Neurowear prove that tech is simply mind over matter.
