Breathing new life into the art of doodling, a paper notebook brings physical and digital together in a single product.

Made by NeedWant and created by Marshall Haas and Jon Wheatley, Mod is a traditional paper notebook with a twist. When completed, the pages can be converted into digital files accessible through the Mod app, which can sync with Dropbox, Evernote, and OneNote. Users just need to send in their finished notebook using the included prepaid envelope and Mod does the rest. The notebooks come in three types - plain, ruled, and grid - and are about the size of an iPad mini.

There has been a growing trend in transforming the digital into the physical, with Tx.to and Memeoirs both offering physical documentation of life on the internet - but with Mod we have the opposite.

For now, NeedWant will only digitise its own Mod notebooks, but the company is considering accepting other formats in the future.
