Last week Miu Miu launched it's super exclusive, women only, members club at the Café Royal on Regent's Street. With men only allowed to attend as guests, the luxury fashion brand's three day event invited female fashionistas to browse and preorder pieces from the upcoming collection; which included collaborations with Vivienne Westwood and Stephen Jones. As well as food and music, Miu Miu also put on a series of short films, Women's Tales, and talks from a series of esteemed speakers including Penny Martin and Alice Rawsthorn. Aside from being another example of brands using the exclusive members club format as a way of building hype, it also shows an interesting mix of activities more ambitious than the traditional store opening.
