New York's Meatopia is exactly what it sounds like: the ultimate meat-fest for meat enthusiasts. It's a straight up, no nonsense meat experience, which has been described as the 'Woodstock of edible animals’. Celebrating meat from small farms and heritage animals, the festival features talented chefs from across the country who will serve up a range of dishes including barbecues, steaks, sausages and stews. All the produce used will be 100% natural, hormone-free and anti-biotic-free. Farmers will also be on hand to answer any meaty questions about where the produce is from - an issue causing concern with many food consumers with the recent E. coli outbreaks reported in the media. We've seen meat appreciation take off in London too. The Meatwagon became a popular food truck in the city, and British steakhouse Hawksmoor recently opened a third restaurant.  The meaty affair takes place on 23rd July at Pier 5, Brooklyn Bridge Park and includes live music, Amstel Light on tap, and a national butcher contest.
