Last month, Red Stripe kicked off its 'Make Something From Nothing' series with an awesome party at Village Underground in London to launch Yuri Suzuki's sound installation piece. The first project in the series, the soundsystem was made entirely out of salvaged Red Stripe cans from last year's Notting Hill Carnival.

Standing at 2.5 metres high, the sound sculpture was not only amazing to look but was also a fully functional soundsystem. This was put through its paces by Hessle Audio's Ben UFO, Numbers' Spencer and Al Fingers, who all played a round of Jamaican inspired-sets. Adding more authentic carnival vibes to the exhibition was MC Chunky, who used a microphone made from a can, whilst the crowd were treated to complimentary Red Stripe, jerk chicken and rice.

Suzuki's spectacular piece follows previous creative projects that also showcase his passion for music and art. The Red Stripe series gave those with similar interests and curious minds an opportunity to experience the sculpture in person, but for those who missed it, we have some photos from the night and an exclusive video documenting the creative process behind the artwork. Enjoy!
