From the 21st June - 24th June, our gallery 18 Hewett Street is proud to host 'Love thy Badger', an exhibition of Badger themed art which aims to raise funds and awareness for the Wildlife Trusts who are fully endorsing the project.

The government are planning a series of scientifically unsound culls this autumn that could see badgers wiped out from some areas of Britain. The culls will see countless badgers lose their lives violently and utterly pointlessly so they need our help! Back in March, the Welsh government scrapped their planned culls in exchange for a an effective vaccination, so the goal to extend this to the rest of the UK seems attainable.

The show features new work from a group on both up and coming and established artists, working predominately in illustration. From Le Gun founder Neal Fox, to illustrator Isabel Greenberg and Matthew the Horse, all artists have donated unique work which will be for sale during the exhibition.

It will be a great show in honour of a worthy cause so come down to the private view next Thursday 21st June from 7-10pm! More info on the event can be found here.

If you can't make the private view, the opening times will be:
Friday 22nd: 8am - 6pm
Saturday 23rd: 11am - 4pm
Sunday 24th: 11am - 3pm

Work seen above is by Jon Boam, and below by Matthew the Horse, Andrew Groves and Liam Barrett.
