Livre Echange is an installation designed by Nathalie Faessel and Didier Muller. It is also a first free mobile, urban 'bookshop', open 24 hours a day. The installation is made up of suspended perspex huts, which have a cut-out slot for the books at the bottom. The idea is simple: city dwellers are invited to leave a book inside them, and pick up another one while they are there.
The installation celebrates reading, paperbacks, and book-sharing. The installation was part of the Design Biennale in Saint-Etienne, Lyon.
