Denim brand Levi’s has created a workshop space for people to create, shoot and edit their own films in Los Angeles. The workshop coincides with the ‘Art in the Streets’ exhibition at the city’s Museum of Contemporary Art (MOCA), which focuses on films relating to fashion, art, skate and food. The collaborative project is bringing creativity and training to the local community in Los Angeles by offering free film workshops at the MOCA space. In one workshop series called The Hunger, participants made films about the local food movement in Los Angeles. In the Wild Goodness, shown above, the subject is growing food. The subject is an edible ‘bike farm’ concept that created mobile planters out of a bicycle, and was designed and built outside the MOCA space. The new campaign shows the growing role that brands play in instigating community projects, as well as the continued interest that consumers have in understanding locally sourced and locally sold food.
