LEGO Fusion
The toy company add a digital component to its products that bring children's creations to life
Never a company to shy away from innovative new ideas, building block toy company LEGO present an interesting new product that blends the physicality of their toys with the potential of augmented reality in unlocking the potential of kid's imaginations.
LEGO Fusion allows children to build models that they then take a picture of on a tablet or phone and, using a special app, their creation comes to life and can be interacted with on the screen.
It's interesting to see such a recognisable, intrinsically tangible product like LEGO get into the smart tech game. We recently looked at another clever example of blending the physical with the digital to engage children, the Goodnight Lad augmented reality story book, that saw its pages come alive when viewed through a smart screen.
