Designers and artists have been imagining creative uses of LEGO bricks ever since the game was released. Reminiscent of childhood play, the coloured plastic blocks offer enthusiasts hours of endless creation.

LEGO Calendar is the brainchild of Vitamins, a London-based design studio that wanted to better visualize their projects timeline and who was working on what. So, they conceived a wall-sized planner made up entirely of LEGO bricks. Each grey horizontal board symbolizes a month, each column represents a day, and every project is assigned a different colour. In addition to the eye-catching wall piece, Vitamins also developed a special software that syncs their digital calendars – Google, or iCal – to the physical one by simply taking a picture of it and sending it to an email address.

In a digital age, creative physical renderings of calendars seem to be all the rage now, used either as striking office features, or smart marketing tools.
