Breathing new life into a pair of abandoned petrol stations in Amsterdam, architect Sophie Valla'sLED Cloud installation sees the roof of the filling stations lined with programmable panels that mimic the sky above or complex colour patterns.

By taking a previously ignored and derelict part of the urban environment and using relatively simple technology to reinvigorate the architecture firm is making a strong case for the appeal that these 'abandoned' parts of our cities still have for many people.
