It’s not everyday that a brand will help combat an issue when what they sell is partially the problem. Budweiser are striving to fight drink-driving by revealing a knitting machine that produces Christmas-themed sweatshirts.

With the holidays around the corner, Budweiser are encouraging people to use designated drivers. Introducing, The Knitbot, which ingeniously reacts to mentions of a hashtag by having a built-in chip that enables it to produce sweatshirts when #jumpers4des is used on Twitter.

This first-of-a-kind machine was created by the brand to "promote and celebrate the important role that designated drivers play in a fun and engaging way, with our own take on the festive knitwear trend."

By visiting Budweiser’s UK Facebook page, people who support designated driving have the opportunity to win one of the Knitbot’s sweatshirts, which features designs like Budweiser’s Clydesdale horses and snowflakes.
