You don't need to be a computer wizz to love this project. Kano is a simple DIY kit that allows anyone to build their own colourful PC almost from scratch.

Designed by MAP Project Office, a London-based creative agency, in collaboration with Kano Computing, the kit delivers on its promise to make computer assembling as easy as piecing together LEGO bricks. Kano runs on a Raspberry Pi platform, it comes with a custom case, keyboard, speakers and two instruction manuals, and its open source software lets users with basic coding skills create games and applications. Also, a great deal of work went into the product's design and packaging so it would appeal to kids and adults alike.

The project was launched on Kickstarter and it has already secured more than $800,000 in funding, toping its $100,000 goal.
