Check out Connecticut's latest arts attraction at The Brant Foundation Art Study Centre  in Greenwich. Mostly known for their promotion of contemporary art and design, BFASC has put their faith in emerging New York-based artist Josh Smith, allowing him to take over their whopping 9,800-square-foot space for the biggest exhibition Smith has ever undertaken.   ‘The American Dream' took six weeks to produce. Taking inspiration from the sheer size of the space, Smith worked with scale and created huge colourful child-like dinosaur figures and abstract versions of his own name - all completed by himself. It’s his obsession with his own name that gained Josh notoriety; from stand-alone installations to paintings like those now on display at the BFASC.   Next stop on his calendar is at the 54th Venice International Art Exhibition where the artist has created an installation for the Palace of Exhibitions along with a selection of other pieces.     Speaking of artists taking over a space, a couple of weeks ago we brought Mike Schreiber's photography exhibition TRUE Hip-Hop to our concept space 18 Hewett Street. If you haven't already, have a look through some snaps we took on the night of the launch party here. Our next show is going to see the entire white space transform into a moving, colourful galaxy ... that's all we can say for now but stay tuned by checking out the sitehere.
