From Friday 30th March to 3rd April, female duo MASS will host an exhibition at 18 Hewett Street called Into the Abyss.

Esther Theaker and Jessica Bernard who make up MASS curate and direct creative projects with an aim to explore stories with challenging subject matter. This exhibition draws inspiration from the new Werner Herzog film, Into the Abyss, which is released on Friday. Herzog's documentary examines the death penalty through humanistic portraits, focusing on two death row inmates, Michael Perry and Jason Burkett. Herzog unravels the crimes and trials from separate viewpoints, exploring the devastating effects on all involved.

The exhibition features a select group of artists who have captured unique perspective on the film's themes. Artists featured are Alex Shepherd, Alison Moffett, Theo Turpin, Laurel Schwulst, Margarita Louca and Susu Laroche.

The private view is this Thursday, 7 - 10pm. Hope to see you down there!
