The hand-crafted vodka of Industry City Distillery is proudly "made by nerds", according to the website. The small-batch distillery uses a specially formulated method to create its uniquely flavoured vodka.

Industry City, located in Brooklyn, praises the science behind its liquor making. ‘A distillery is equal parts biology, chemistry, physics and engineering; Industry Standard is the tasty application of our collective curiosities and interests,’ explains the site. The distillery makes vodka from American sugar beet using equipment built on location with yeast grown in Industry City’s on-site laboratory. The distillery even has a letterpress machine to make the labels that are placed on the bottles by hand. Learn more about their intricate process here.

The Industry City Distillery is not the only one drawing attention to the art of hand-crafted liquor; Our/Vodka similarly focuses on the innovation of small-batch vodka distillery. And, with projects like the Brewbot still cropping up on the regs, the focus on the craft behind the drink manufacturing shows no sign of dying down anytime soon.
