To anyone interested in film or design, our current ILUZJON exhibition, hosted in association with Eye Sea Posters, is a must see. These beautiful pieces are some of the finest and rarest examples of Polish film posters dating from the 60s & 70s. To coincide with the exhibition that runs until the 29th October, London based artist and curator Stanley Schtinter will be taking over the space to curate an evening dedicated to Polish cinema.

Schtinter is responsible for an impressive array of film related events that often involve the screening of previously unreleased and forgotten cinema gems and soundtrack music nights. He has hosted events across the world from London to Vienna to San Fransico - and this Wednesday 24th he will be at 18 Hewett Street. To tie in with the current exhibition, he will be showing forgotten films from the politically stifling and artistically boundless period from which the posters date. There will be a number of shorts by Stefan Schabenbeck and Jan Lenica, followed by feature length film 'Dancing Hawk' directed by Grzegorz Krolikiewicz in 1977 - "a post-expressionistic masterpiece trailing the life story of runty opportunist Michal Toporny as he rises from the dirt floor of a rural farm to the top of the communist industrial complex."

Please join us for The Stanley Schtinter Picture Show at 18 Hewett Street for a unique opportunity to watch on a big screen carefully selected and incredibly rare films.
