I’m Not An Artist is a new online community that lets people upload and share animated GIFs. The site started as a commission by the Elisava School of Design with 56 GIFs directed by founders Johnny Kelly and Matthew Cooper. The aim of the project is to serve as a platform for contributing designers, with the site featuring links to further examples of work by young designers, downloadable screensavers and even an easy-to-use GIF generator.

When we opened our Animate Everything GIF exhibition, which is currently showing in our 18 Hewett Street Gallery space, we were excited by the opportunity to give this often over looked medium a public platform. Now, thanks to websites such as I’m Not An Artist, GIFs now also have an online platform too.
