San Francisco, food-focused art collective Thought for Food, have put together an interesting twist on the traditional supper club. For Hunt + Gather, guests are invited to attend an evening meal with food prepared by NOMA alumni Leif Hedendal. However, to shake things up a little the diners are challenged with gathering their own ingredients beforehand.Each participant will receive a specially made tote bag, a special booklet containing ‘hunting’ instructions and a particular type of food to look out for, e.g. leafy, sweet, orange, etc.The project aims to raise awareness both in the origins and processes involved in food production, but also in the wealth of culinary possibilities that we’re surrounded by everyday.
