To mark SMS Audio’s partnership with Intel and the launch of their new BioSport headphones, 50 Cent and Co. held a party in the New Museum’s Sky Room, exhibiting the latest work from interactive artist Aramique. Aramique, the interactive director at Tool put together a team consisting of Crouse, Matts Mets, Ranjit Bhatnagor, Adam Thabo and Nikolay Saveliev to create the Heart Botinstallation – a drawing machine that would be controlled by the heart rate of each contributor.

Heart Bot works as a collaborative piece of art that invited guests to spend thirty seconds with their finger on a heart rate sensor while a robotic machine draws their heartbeat in real time. Inspired by the hands of a clock, each person’s heartbeat starts at the centre of the circle and makes its way outwards. By the end of the night, 60 humans had each created a piece of art, demonstrating that every individual experiences a moment in a unique way.

The Heart Bot was inspired by BioSport’s headphones that capture biometric exercise data through the headphones. The final work of art created by Heart Bot will be donated to Feeding America, the nation’s leading domestic hunger relief charity.
