The dream of recovering something that had been lost to forgetfulness, carelessness or simply the passing of time has come a little closer thanks to a new app: Heard.

Last week, Faalsa Labs launched an iOS app that records the background sound with your phone's microphone silently and seamlessly.  Simply press the button and save the phone number the girl just shouted as you were leaving the café.

Without piling up audio data on your limited iPhone drive the app records remotely only the last 12 seconds to 5 minutes audio and erases it if you don't press the button right away. No spy, just an emergency time machine for the small important things in life. On top of this the app let's you share those moments with all your friends via Facebook and e-mail.

The app is now available for free in the app store.
