Check out the health tech that transforms your body into a temple“The digital revolution is transforming the way that we understand our own everyday wellbeing,” says Design Museum director Deyan Sudjic, speaking about Health Tech & You, an exhibition celebrating designers, startups and technologists developing new health care wizardry. “For the first time we can ask our smart phone, ‘how am I?’"    Together with wellbeing think tank 2020health and insurer AXA PPP the Design Museum has selected a range of cutting-edge technology set to change the way we take care of each other, and number one. Winners across a selection of categories include: Brush DJ, a free NHS approved app that encourages tooth brushing for an effective length of time by playing two minutes of music from a playlist on the user’s device; Elvie, a wearable piece of tech, by Chiaro, that gives women real-time guidance on how to exercise and improve core strength, as well as Baby Buddy, another free app designed to empower mothers of all backgrounds in their emotional and physical transition to parenthood. In our Health Report we saw how technologists and innovators are working together to find new and exciting ways to transform the way in which we care for our body and mind. Recently Bompas & Parr combined sensory dining with holistic health care at their Pharmacafé, where diners’ DNA determined the food they ate, while journals like Nourished signal a growing awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle.
